The AGI Engineering Director position is the perfect opening for an inspirational engineering leader who wishes to operate in a high-growth SME environment.
The role has an emphasis on product development and product sustainment which will draw on all of your previous leadership and product expertise.
AGI have a suite of established hardware solutions and we continue to evolve through significant investment and development.
The Engineering Director will be joining a business with a bright future with some interesting technology challenges.
You will lead a multi-disciplined engineering team including 6 direct & 35 in-direct reports, who are working across number of product lines, with projects are various stages. Your leadership of the engineering function will give AGI a solid foundation to successfully deliver our strong order book and growth programmes.
AGI design, manufacture naval safety hardware which is exported to over 60 countries. You will be working for an established business with a positive long-term forecast. AGI products are integral to the globes key ship building programmes as well as through life support across a vessel’s lifecycle. AGI products play a critical role in humanitarian missions as well as keeping military personnel safe.

Essential attributes required for this position.
Extensive, system level, product development experience (Electronic/Electrical).
Leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering teams, with a track record of driving exceptional performance.
Live (or willing to relocate) within a commutable distance from Poole.
Degree qualified and chartered engineer.
The following attributes would be a distinct advantage
Defence hardware experience (Naval would be a distinct advantage)
