What does the apprenticeship include?
Every year we have a number of apprenticeship places that become available, providing the opportunity for bright individuals with an aptitude for engineering to embark on an apprenticeship, consisting of both in-house training and college courses.
Once the apprenticeship is finished you will have all the suitable skills to maintain and support the work we do on Naval and Military Electronics hardware and Visual Landing Aids.
The Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Apprentice will play a key role working with the Production, Manufacturing, Quality & Test Teams. The role is hands on, you’ll be learning a variety of crafts and trades including Mechanical and Electrical & Electronic Assembly.

What qualifications & experience will you receive?
-Level 2 Foundation Competence
-Level 2 Foundation Knowledge
-Level 3 Diploma in Development Knowledge
-Level 3 Development Competence (NVQ)
What will you be learning?
Over the 4 years you will learn a wide range of skills, working in the business as well as attending Bournemouth & Poole College (North Road site).

To be a successful apprentice you will need to demonstrate a thirst for learning and development, a “hands-on” approach, taking an interest in how things work, with a positive attitude. You will need to demonstrate well rounded GCSE scores on your CV.
