Chief Systems Engineer
11th March 2020This opening would suit a creative, influential, technical leader who wants to use their product development expertise to take on the challenge of delivering a next generation electronic hardware system.
Leading a small team, you will be developing the next generation of military emergency airfield lighting systems (MEALS Division). AGI design and manufacture naval defence hardware which is exported to over 50 countries. You will be working for an established business with a strong order book and positive long-term forecast.
The role includes a broad set of functions including design project lead, technical customer liaison & product manager.

Essential attributes required for this position.
Engineering degree
Experience in design programme management on multiple projects and programmes
Working with multi-disciplinary teams/resources
Solid understanding of photomectrics, LED, battery management and RF design
Understanding of CAA, FAA and ICAO requirements, or equivalent heavily regulated product development experience
Live (or willing to relocate) within a commutable distance from Poole
The following attributes would be a distinct advantage
Engineering experience within the civil or military aviation industry desirable
