Electro/mechanical Design Draughtsperson
A vacancy has arisen for an Electro/Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to work in our busy Drawing Office.

The office is engaged in support and design of new projects for the supply/installation of defence related Marine, Naval and Met Systems which we design and supply for use throughout the world.

This position requires a proven record of experience in a similar industrial environment with particular experience in Drawing Office practices. Current use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks with knowledge of defence and naval standards desirable, together with a working knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing and BS58888 drawing procedures.

The preferred candidate will have a flexible attitude to work, including design, detailing, MRP systems, with experience of wiring schedules, change notes etc, ability to use office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Access) needed.

Candidate will need to be efficient, self motivated and capable of working unsupervised.

Programme Manager
As a result of being awarded significant new contracts and continued expansion, we are looking for a motivated self-starter to join us at this exciting time.

You will work closely with, and report to, the Naval Aviation Business Manager to provide programme management for the supply of Visual Landing Aids to shipyards and navies worldwide.

The role will involve working with the customer and key managers within Aeronautical & General Instruments Limited to ensure delivery of products and services on time and within budget. This will require an ability to work on your own initiative in an organised and effective manner.

Working as part of an established team you will be expected to have good interpersonal and business skills with an ability to communicate with people at all levels.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Project or other similar package is required and it would be an advantage to have a recognised qualification in an engineering discipline. An understanding of military contract structures and experience in a manufacturing environment would also be beneficial.
