SALES ENGINEER
As a result of continued expansion our Metalite Business Unit now requires a Sales Engineer in a busy and growing area of our business.
You will need to demonstrate an ability to identify and strategically develop orders together with close liaison with our customers to maximise business potential. This will involve meeting order take and sales forecasts, and continuing development of products and markets.
In addition you will be required to prepare professional and technically accurate proposals and follow up these in terms of orders and sales. This will involve preparation of reports, administration of new opportunities, existing contracts and progress plans, along with internal meetings to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
Travel, both UK and overseas, together with working outside of normal hours will be required in this position.
Applicants must have a good basic educational qualification together with relevant experience/qualifications in sales and marketing and a technical/engineering sales experience would be desirable.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER
As a result of continuing expansion in our Naval Aviation Business Unit we are now recruiting for the above position.
You will be responsible to the Technical Support Supervisor for the installation and setting to work of equipment associated with the Business Unit. This will involve both UK and overseas travel, together with travel and work outside normal working hours. This is a physically demanding role and provides an outstanding opportunity for the right applicant.
You will also support our UK MOD contracts and represent the company when meeting the customer, assisting with the provision of technical information.
You should hold a relevant electrical/electronics engineering qualification and previous experience in this field would be an advantage.

SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER
This position will be part of a small specialised team undertaking design and development of the company's expanding range of Meteorological and Manual Instrumentation. The work involved would require some direct contact with customers involving the planning and co-ordination of projects. Candidates must show that they are self motivated, enthusiastic and able to take responsibility for the projects/proposals involved.
Experience of programming in C and similar high-level languages for embedded real time applications is required, together with an HNC/D/BEng in electronics/computing. Applicants must have a working knowledge of basic analogue/digital/ microprocessor electronics.
An added advantage would be a knowledge of Data Loggers for real time data acquisition of Meteorological sensors, Linux, microconductors eg PICS and an interest in aviation/meteorology.

ELECTRONICS AND SOFTWARE ENGINEER
The continued success of our Metalite Business Unit means that we now have a requirement for the above.
You will need a formal Electronic/Embedded Software qualification - HNC/HND/B Eng etc and at least 3 years experience involving electronic design and embedded software.
You will assist in the development of current range of products and provide technical support to both customers and manufacturing. This will involve design, development and support of electronics hardware and software within a dedicated team involved in the support of existing products and development of a new range of deployable and temporary runway lighting systems.
You must be able to work within a team, be flexible in your approach and be aware of and conversant with current industry standards including ISO 9001 requirements, and relevant European directives.
