Production Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join our Production Team.

We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for the supervision, organisation, control and general leadership of a team within our Production Department, to work to IPC-A-610 and to Business Improvement Initiatives.  Our Team Leader will inform the Production Manager of any issues within the Department, keep accurate absence records, produce weekly and monthly timesheets for payroll and assist with the training and retraining of the Production Team; working outside regular office hours when necessary to ensure that required deadlines and objectives are met.  You will be required to build prototypes from verbal or written instructions, as necessary.  Another element of your role will be to promote and support Business and Continuous Improvement schemes.

The role will entail effectively managing the workload of the team, ensuring accurate job allocation.  You will also be required to performance manage the team, including addressing any disciplinary or grievance matters, ensuring that development requirements, welfare, behaviours and performance are measured, and responded to, proactively, professionally and accordingly.

The successful candidate will have previous supervisory or team leader experience, be self-motivated, trustworthy and have a conscientious approach to work, and a flexibility and willingness to undertake various responsibilities.  They will be polite and approachable, and able to work on their own initiative, and to motivate.  The job holder must be computer literate, must perform within the company operating procedure, and complete all documentation correctly, including preparation of paperwork for Production meetings.

Basic security clearance will be required for the successful candidate.
