Electronics Design Engineer

Our Ship Air Integration Division are currently recruiting for an Electronics Design Engineer to undertake electronic design and development of AGI’s products. Using the applied principals and awareness of APQP and DfM you will focus on product design associated with visual landing aids in naval applications.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Design and development of electronic hardware, which is consistent with the given targets of time scale, cost and technical performance.
  • To work as a Project Manager or member of a project team in pursuance of the technical performance, time scale and cost targets for a project.
  • To maintain daily records of works in progress and to prepare technical documentation in accordance with AGI procedures.

General Tasks;

  • To undertake project tasks such as estimating, proposal preparation and planning.
  • To maintain awareness of current hardware and software techniques and products.
  • To represent AGI when meeting with customers and suppliers.
  • Travel both within the UK and overseas, including travel and working outside of normal office hours when necessary. 

If you have a degree in Electrical Engineering or are qualified by experience we would love to hear from you. Ideally you will have experience within digital and analogue electronic design and evaluation as well as Project management. Knowledge of thermal analysis, motion control and photometric measurement would also be beneficial to this role.
